Discover the highlights of Seychelles

Located north of Madagascar in the Indian Ocean is the beautiful archipelago of Seychelles. On the archipelago's many islands (more than 115) you will find pearly white beaches with azure seas and lush tropical jungle. It is therefore not for nothing that many travellers see the destination as the ultimate luxury beach destination, but Seychelles is much more than that. Take impressive dives along the coastline of Beau Vallon, where you can admire colourful coral reefs, take a hike in the beautiful Vallée de Mai nature park with its giant palms, or visit the small island of La Digue, where you can enjoy cycling around. Whatever you will undertake, your stay in the Seychelles will be unique!

Seychelles has a tropical climate with pleasant temperatures all year round, but the best time to travel depends on your preferences and activities. Below is an overview by season:

November - March: Warm and humid period with a chance of brief rain showers. Ideal for diving and snorkelling due to warm, clear waters and quieter beaches. Note that it is also the monsoon period with occasional wind and rain.

April - May: Transitional period with less rain and mild temperatures. The sea is calm, perfect for water sports and island hopping. This is considered one of the best travel times because of the pleasant weather.

June - September: Dry and cooler months with fresh trade winds. Ideal for hiking, nature excursions and exploring the islands. Winds can sometimes make the sea surface rough, which is less suitable for some water sports.

October: Transitional month when the weather slowly gets warmer and the chance of rain increases. Still a good time to travel, especially for those who want to avoid the crowds.

Note: Seychelles is a year-round paradise, but choosing the best travel time depends on whether you prefer sun and water activities (April-May, November-March) or nature and hiking (June-September).
