Destinations

Mahe Island

Mahe is the largest island in the Seychelles and is home to both the international airport and the country’s capital, the surprisingly quiet and peaceful city of Victoria. Around a third of the country’s population lives here, and you’ll find many excellent restaurants and nightlife venues. Mahé has a mountainous interior characterised by dense tropical forests and rocky outcrops, whilst the coastline is blessed with around 75 beautiful beaches. The best known of these is the idyllic white-sand beach of Beau Beauon, surrounded by deep bays. It’s a great spot for swimming, snorkelling and diving.

Sainte Anne Island

Sainte Anne Marine National Park

Cousin Island

Located two kilometres west of Praslin, Cousin Island is a small Seychelles island covered with beautiful native forests, mangroves, freshwater marshes, a marine reserve, breathtaking coral reefs and fringed by a long sandy beach. Animal lovers will be especially excited to visit Cousin because of its rich wildlife. The island is home to the highest density of lizards per hectare in the world and is one of the best protected breeding grounds for the Hawksbill sea turtle (and occasional green turtle), Aldabra giant tortoises, and the most diverse fish population of any reserve in the granite islands. Bird lovers will also enjoy the feathered inhabitants, including five endemic land species and 300,000 breeding seabirds.

Praslin Island

Located in the Indian Ocean, Praslin Island is the second largest island in the Seychelles. It has a calm, relaxed atmosphere. The island's landscape stretches over almost 40 square kilometres and features lush tropical jungle surrounded by pristine beautiful beaches with crystal-clear turquoise waters. According to local legend, the island served as a hideout for pirates during the 18th century. Today, it is a holiday paradise. Praslin is home to the UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Vallée de Mai nature reserve with its ancient coco de mer palms that produce the largest coconuts in the world. Here you can do various activities such as turtle spotting, snorkelling, diving and boating.

La Digue Island

This island is part of the Seychelles archipelago with ox cart taxis, verdant surroundings, tranquil bays with aqua blue waters and breathtakingly beautiful beaches dotted with massive boulders. In short, an idyllic holiday destination. La Digue has a charming old-world atmosphere and has retained a strong Creole identity, with traditions and ceremonies still central to the island's culture. Sights not to be missed include the beautiful beach at Anse Source d'Argent and the Veuve nature reserve, home to the elusive black Japanese paradise monarch, of which there are only a few hundred left on earth.

Curieuse Island

Located just off the north coast of the island of Praslin, Curieuse Island is a small granite island in the beautiful Seychelles. Originally named 'Ile Rouge' because of its unique red earth mountains, Curieuse is known for its remarkable landscapes with mangrove forests, amazing rock formations and golden sandy beaches lapped by crystal clear turquoise waters. It is the natural home of unique coco de mer trees and giant Aldabra turtles. The waters around the island form the Curieuse Marine National Park, home to coral reefs and an array of exotic marine life. Anse St Jose, dotted with massive granite boulders, is an idyllic beach perfect for swimming and snorkelling. Other popular activities include birdwatching, hiking and wildlife spotting.

Aride Island

Seychelles' northernmost granite island, Aride Island, is a nature reserve known as the best seabird island in the western Indian Ocean. See what life was like on these islands 250 years ago, before human settlement: Aride is a wild paradise of lush greenery, white beaches and spectacular, thriving wildlife. The island is inhabited by 10 species of seabirds, including the endemic Magpie Robins, Fodies and many more. Green turtles and hawksbill turtles lay eggs here and dolphins frolic just offshore. The reserve extends 200 metres offshore and includes a stunningly beautiful coral reef, home to more than 400 species of fish, whale sharks and even the captivating flying fish. Aride Island is home to plants found nowhere else on earth. Swim in the turquoise waters and take a guided walk along the island.

Cousine Island

Seychelles

Located on the Indian Ocean off the coast of East Africa, Seychelles is known for its tailor-made romantic holidays, adventure and breathtaking natural beauty. This exceptionally picturesque archipelago consists of 115 coral and granite islands. Spend your time here on a sun-drenched beach surrounded by crystal-clear turquoise waters or with a visit to the bustling capital Victoria or explore the colourful underwater world around the coral that surrounds the islands. Other highlights include an abundance of wildlife such as giant land tortoises and nesting sea turtles, native plants and a host of tropical birds. In addition, the two UNESCO World Heritage Sites are also worth visiting, the Vallee de Mai nature reserve and the Aldabra atoll.

Baie Sainte Anne

Situated on the east coast of Praslin, the horseshoe-shaped bay of Baie Sainte Anne is framed by verdant hills and turquoise waters, creating a serene coastal village atmosphere. The name refers not only to the bay itself but also to the district that covers much of the island's eastern side. Serving as a gateway to stunning natural wonders and historical sites, Baie Sainte Anne serves as a base from which to explore the UNESCO-listed Vallée de Mai, home to the rare coco de mer palms, famous for their uniquely shaped seeds, and fragrant vanilla orchids. Visitors can look forward to winding trails, enjoy ferry trips to neighbouring islands, snorkel in crystal-clear waters, or relax on pristine beaches. Once a centre for vanilla and copra production, the area retains a rich heritage, reflected in its laid-back charm and welcoming community.
