The Avila Foundation

Our dream for a better world

We like to give something back for the destinations we visit with our trips and, together with you, we want to continue to enjoy those locations in the future. An ambition that Avila Reizen has been fulfilling with love and mutual respect for many years.

Avila Foundation Colombia project seed to sprout

The love of wildlife and nature and helping women and children in Venezuela never let us go. Projects and charities we have been supporting for years are coming of age, which has inspired us to establish the Avila Foundation in 2019; a foundation dedicated to small-scale projects in the areas of people, environment and animal welfare.

The Avila Foundation also has ANBI status, whereby we are recognised with the tax authorities as a General Beneficial Institution and which means your donation is deductible from your taxable income. The Avila Foundation is our dream for a better world, will you help us realise it?

Some of our projects

For all our projects, we work closely with our partner organisations.

Casa Blanca

Casa Blanca is a children's centre in Venezuela's Sucre province where we provide 100 underprivileged children aged 3 to 11 with a daily hot meal and a safe place to play and dream, among other things. Casa Blanca aims to give these children a future perspective.

Casa Grande

Casa Grande is a centre where we can continue to support the children of Casa Blanca during their teenage years by providing skills training, such as learning the English language and training for professions such as baker or electrician.

Timbo Foundation

Supporting the planting of 7 hectares of Avila River Forest on the Limpopo River in the Central Tuli region of Botswana. Rehabilitating the area with native trees and grass is crucial to stop further erosion and protect the unique ecosystem.

World Wildlife Fund

Donation to WWF to protect the tiger in India, eastern Russia and Southeast Asia. The project is committed to protecting tigers from poachers by encouraging governments to establish national parks and tiger reserves.
