Destinations
Colombo
Colombo, Sri Lanka's capital and largest city, is a city that travellers have mostly avoided for years. The city has a reputation for being boring, but today it has so much to offer! Unlike Jakarta or Bangkok, it is an orderly city and therefore easy to explore. Traffic is as in any Asian capital - chaotic. But, once you have had some time to get used to this and can proverbially 'look past', you will see a brilliant side of the country.

Sri Lanka

Dickoya
Bright green hills, dense dark forests, farmlands and traditional houses characterise the landscapes of Dickoya. Located in the Nuwara Eliya district of Sri Lanka's central province, this photogenic town is known for its fertile tea plantations, spectacular views and charming historic churches. Delve into its colonial and religious past by visiting the 18th-century Christ Church, which has beautiful stained-glass windows and a well-preserved Bible from 1878. The church is one of the oldest Anglican churches in the country. Warleigh Church, with its serene atmosphere, pipe organ and antique furniture, is also worth a visit. Nearby attractions include the beautiful St Clair Major Falls and Devon Falls, and Castlereigh Reservoir, adorned with beautiful hiking trails and viewpoints.
Ceylon Valley
The Ceylon Valley is the 'Tea Country' par excellence. This is the setting for an idyllic stay high in the hills, in a colonial home built during the time of the British, for example. Enjoy tea-inspired days, in the form of (of course!) delicious tea, the tempting and traditional Sri Lankan cuisine with tea-inspired dishes, but also through excursions ranging from a visit and tasting at one of the authentic tea factories, to mountain walks and cycling through the green carpet of Ceylon tea gardens.

Yala
Yala, Sri Lanka, is a picturesque region in the southeastern corner of the island. This beautiful area offers breathtaking landscapes and rich animal life. For nature lovers, Yala National Park is the highlight of the island, with a leopard density probably higher than anywhere else on the planet and a varied landscape from dense forests to wetlands.

Yala National Park
Yala (Ruhuna) National Park is the most visited and second largest national park in Sri Lanka. The park covers an area of 151,778 hectares, consisting of five blocks, not all of which are open to the public. The park is located in the arid semi-arid climate region of southeast Sri Lanka, stretching from Trincomalee to Hambantota. Topographically, the area is a flat and slightly undulating plain running to the coast with an elevation of 30 metres to the coast while inland it rises to 100-125 metres. The landscape is characterised by green, low forests interspersed with water bodies, open plains and rocky outcrops.

Maldives
The Maldives, a tropical paradise in the Indian Ocean, consist of 26 atolls and over 1,000 coral islands. This archipelago is renowned for its white sandy beaches, crystal-clear waters and rich marine biodiversity. Each island offers a unique blend of natural beauty and luxury, with countless resorts ranging from traditional bungalows to modern overwater villas. The underwater world is a highlight, ideal for diving and snorkelling, where colourful coral reefs and exotic marine life such as manta rays, whale sharks and sea turtles can be admired.
The Maldives also offer a range of activities, from water sports and fishing trips to romantic sunset cruises. The local culture is fascinating, with a blend of South Asian, Arabic and African influences, which is reflected in the music, dance and cuisine. The climate is tropical, with warm temperatures all year round, making it an ideal destination for a sun holiday. Whether you’re looking for adventure or relaxation, the Maldives offer an unforgettable experience in truly breathtaking surroundings.

Dhaalu Atoll
The Maldives' Dhaalu' Atoll stretches over a total of 56 islands - only seven of which are inhabited - and extends 23 kilometres wide and 38 kilometres from top to bottom in the Arabian Ocean. Adorned with numerous luxury resorts, the atoll is a popular diving destination, fringed by beautiful reefs with rich marine life. Other activities on offer include swimming in the crystal-clear waters, participating in numerous water sports, spa treatments and visiting some intriguing sites.
Weligama
Weligama is a serene resort with a beautiful beach stretching around a wide, crescent-shaped bay. It is located just a 40-minute drive from Galle and a short distance from Mirissa, which is known for its good whale-watching opportunities. A stay here is therefore the perfect base if you are looking for these huge mammals.

Ahangama
The small town of Ahangama is located in Sri Lanka's southern province. This quiet town is located almost at the southernmost tip of the island. It is known for its beautiful coastline and ample surfing opportunities. Visitors can enjoy surfing the waves at Wellingama Bay, you can take a local tuk-tuk to explore the area, enjoy a turtle experience at the Turtle Bay Activity Centre and relax at an inviting beach bar to enjoy a fresh fruit smoothie or a nice cold local beer . Other highlights include the Handunugoda Tea Estate, the pristine Midigama Beach and the nearby Koggala Lagoon. Don't miss the chance to watch the famous stilt fishermen.
