Soufriere
Nestled amongst green hills in the south-western region of St Lucia, Soufrière makes a dramatic impression. On the left-hand side of the horseshoe-shaped bay lie iconic landmarks: the twin peaks known as the Petit and Gros Pitons. The town was the original capital of St Lucia and still boasts many traditional wooden houses. There are plenty of cosy restaurants and a market in the town; you can start your explorations from the Old Catholic Church. As well as enjoying the beach, you can put on your walking shoes to take in views of the Pitons on the Tet Paul Nature Trail, visit the Diamond Falls Botanical Gardens, or hire a boat and explore the nearby bays, which are perfect for snorkelling.

Saint Lucia
From a green, mountainous island halfway between Martinique and St Vincent, St Lucia has become one of the Caribbean's most popular destinations mainly because of the island's striking natural beauty, its many beautiful resorts, and its welcoming atmosphere. St. Lucia boasts a cultural mix, with French and British rule alternating 14 times since 1650. You will find French architecture and place names all over the island, while the official language is English. There is a relaxed, informal and friendly atmosphere on St Lucia, and the island boasts beautiful volcanic, palm-fringed beaches. Furthermore, the island is rich in fantastic diving areas, numerous small luxury resorts and charming fishing villages. The Pitons, two volcanic peaks on the south-western coast, make the island most distinctive. Hike through the beautiful rainforests to discover magical waterfalls, zipline over the forests, or see Sulphur Crater. Whether you are looking for romance, rejuvenation, or adventure, St. Lucia is the perfect destination!

Dominica
The Caribbean island of Dominica, sandwiched between the beautiful islands of Guadeloupe to the north and Martinique to the south, is known for its pristine wilderness with flowing mountain streams, lush emerald forests, serene lakes, steaming hot springs and rolling volcanic peaks. This natural treasure serves as an off-the-beaten-track tourist hub with a thriving nightlife and attracts eco-adventurers from all corners of the globe. Visitors can look forward to hiking through dense tropical rainforests and vast tropical jungles, snorkelling among colourful coral reefs and discovering stunning white sand beaches and black volcanic sand beaches fringed by the sparkling waters of the Caribbean. Don't miss a visit to the spectacularly scenic Northern Forest Reserve and the Central Forest Reserve, home to a variety of amazing fauna and flora.

Barbados
Barbados, the easternmost of the Caribbean islands, is a traveller's paradise, blessed with lush vegetation, friendly people, excellent restaurants and idyllic palm-fringed beaches - wild and windswept in the south and east, pristine and tranquil in the north and west. Once a British colonial outpost, much of this history is reflected in the country's architecture, street names and passion for cricket. There is a huge amount to see and do in Barbados: take a jeep safari to the untamed east coast, known for its world-class surfing, or head to the rugged south coast, where secluded coves are surrounded by sheer cliffs. If you prefer something quieter, the north and west coasts are your thing, powder-fine white sandy beaches transitioning into serene coves perfect for swimming and snorkelling. Barbados' capital, Bridgetown, has excellent shopping and sightseeing, while the island's relatively flat interior is dotted with beautiful gardens, verdant nature reserves, shimmering caves and breathtaking viewpoints.

Portsmouth
The coastal city of Portsmouth is located on the northwest coast of Dominica, just north of the Cabrits National Park. While the rest of the island is not exactly known for its beaches, Portsmouth has no less than six impressive beaches, many of which are perfectly idyllic and great for swimming, sunbathing and watching the sunset in the evening from seaside cocktail bars. Active travellers will relish the chance to enjoy boat trips, fishing, diving and sailing, and night owls will find a lively scene of French, reggae, Spanish and local music to party the night away. Nature lovers can explore a range of wild landscapes in the nearby park, including tropical forests, wetlands and beautiful coral reefs. Dominica's second-largest city is still relatively undiscovered and offers a more untamed and authentic destination than its neighbour and capital Roseau.

Saint James
