Meknes
Located in the heart of Morocco, the impressive imperial city of Meknes has a unique blend of Islamic and European architectural styles. It serves as a major economic centre within Meknes prefecture. It is Fez's quieter neighbour with a more relaxed, faded grandeur. The city is surrounded by monumental walls and has ancient ornate gates, palace-like buildings and winding narrow medina streets. Meknes is set in a beautiful landscape of rich cedar forests, the Middle Atlas Mountains and the rich oasis of Tafilalt. During your stay, spot the remains of the imperial city, including: the spectacular Bab el-Mansour, a grand gate decorated with beautiful zellij mosaic tiles that crowns the entrance to the former imperial city; the mausoleum of Sultan Moulay Ismail, with beautiful courtyards and fountains; and the ruins of Heri es-Souani, a sprawling structure once used for stables and storage. Don't miss the old market and Pl el-Hedim square.

Fes
Fes (Fez) is Morocco's second-largest city and the country's former capital. It is an exotic mix of Arabic architecture, ancient alleyways, calls to prayer and colourful markets: all mixed with a hefty dose of modern culture. For music lovers, it is highly recommended to align their travel dates with the annual Festival of Sacred Music, one of the highlights of the city's cultural calendar with various performances of spiritual and religious music.

Morocco
Morocco is an exotic mix of southern Mediterranean, Arab and African influences. It is an attractive combination of ancient cities and Roman ruins, vast deserts and ancient medinas, mosques and minarets, winding alleys and lively markets, beautiful beaches and rugged mountains. Imperial cities like Fes, Marrakech, Meknes and Rabat are rife with attractions, including an abundance of ancient architecture, museums and souks (markets). The coastal city of Casablanca has one of the largest mosques in the world, while Tangier, on the Mediterranean coast, has some beautiful bays. Visitors can look forward to sampling exotic dishes, enjoying a fresh cup of coffee or mint tea at a waterfront cafe, hiking through Toubkal - North Africa's highest peak or enjoying camel rides through the desert.

Erg Chebbi Desert
Spending the night in the Moroccan desert: it’s a wonderful fairy tale that comes to life in the Erg Chebbi desert. With its metre-high golden dunes, this area is one of the most beautiful places in the whole of Africa. In the south-east of Morocco, on the border with Algeria, lie the magically beautiful sand dunes of Erg Chebbi. Erg Chebbi is part of the Sahara, a sand dune region shaped by the wind. The golden dunes of Erg Chebbi are a feast for the eyes and can reach heights of around 150 metres. So you can imagine that this is one of the most extraordinary landscapes in the world! The area is the ideal spot for a night in the desert and to enjoy a camel ride through this impressive landscape.
A night in the desert is an unforgettable experience. From the traditional tent, you can clearly hear and feel the rugged desert wind. The next morning, after sunrise, you’ll be served breakfast featuring delicious Moroccan delicacies.

Skoura
Located on the banks of the Amerhidl River, the city of Skoura boasts a multitude of Moroccan castles, vibrant souks and lush palm, olive, fig and almond groves. Skoura is located in the picturesque Dades Valley, also known as the 'Valley of a Thousand Kasbahs'. This thriving oasis is set in beautiful surroundings, including the Atlas Mountains and vast open landscapes with spectacular views. You can visit a wide selection of impressive sites, including: the Marabout Sidi M'Barek, a magnificent pre-Islamic Muslim shrine; and the 17th-century Amerhidl Kasbah, a fortress known as the largest kasbah in Skoura and one of the largest in Morocco. Other Kasbahs also worth visiting are the Dar Ait Sidi el-Mati Kasbah and the spectacular Amar and Ait Ben Abou Kasbahs.

Ouarzazate
At the junction of the Dades and Draa valleys lies the tranquil Moroccan town of Ouarzazate, surrounded by incredibly picturesque countryside. It is characterised by the red-hot kasbah at Ait Ben Haddou, the snow-capped High Atlas Mountains and the spectacular Sahara Desert with its rolling dunes. These exotic backdrops have served as locations for a host of Hollywood films that have made this once sleepy city the Moroccan version of Hollywood. The city is a popular stopover for travellers en route to the Sahara. Its palm-lined boulevards are dotted with grand palaces, bustling souks, old adobe buildings and film studios. Here you can visit many of the charming cafés and sample some delicious local Moroccan cuisine.

Marrakech
Located north of the foothills of the snow-capped Atlas Mountains and on the edge of the famous Sahara Desert, lies the vibrant, UNESCO-protected city of Marrakech. An enchanting travel destination in Morocco. It is easy to lose all sense of time in Marrakech, with its maze of narrow alleys dotted with donkey carts, snake charmers, acrobats, storytellers, dancers and water vendors. Marrakech is also home to the largest traditional Berber market in Morocco and one of the busiest squares in the world, known as Djemaa el Fna. Don't miss the chance to visit this square in the evening, when it transforms into a huge open-air restaurant.
