In the very early morning,around 3am in the night, you will be picked up at your hotel and driven to the village of Toya Bungkah, the starting point of your trek. You will start with a tough but free short climb of about 20 minutes until you reach the crater rim. You will now hike a little further to a point where you will have a beautiful view of mountains, the lake and the sea. Here you will wait for the sun to rise. Then you hike further (hilly) along the crater rim while enjoying the beautiful landscapes. After about 1.5 hours, you descend quite steeply to the lake and cross the lake by boat. You will then be picked up by a chauffeured car and drive back to your hotel for a well-deserved relaxing free afternoon!
