Bear hunting at Brooksfalls
On this full day, join us on Brooks Falls Bear Viewing Trip. Where brown bears meet salmon, Brooks Falls is known for its density of brown bears that catch Alaska's wild salmon. With this tour, you will have the opportunity to see Alaskan brown bears up close enjoying their summer feast in Katmai National Park.
When you arrive, your pilot will take you to the ranger station. From here, you will spend 4 hours at Brooks Camp; to get to the falls, it is about a kilometre and a half to the main viewing platforms. Along the way, it is a combination of enclosed footpaths, bridges and well-maintained gravel paths. This Brooks Falls tour is a self-guided tour.
When it is time to return to Homer, we offer an extra "flight-see" on the way back. This involves flying through the mountains, over glaciers and around a volcano.
NOTES. The flight-see is weather dependent and the time spent with the bears depends on the weather and movements of the wildlife.
NOTES. Strict weight requirements apply to this excursion & one must be in good physical condition.
