The Hildana Lodge

The Hildana Lodge lies at the foot of the Taita Hills, nestled within a private 5,000-acre sanctuary. This small, exclusive property promises total privacy and unrestricted access to amazing wildlife and birding opportunities. We offer serenity and a luxury escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life – a home away from home in the African wilderness. Accommodating a total of 20 guests, The Hildana has eight luxury rooms, comprising a honeymoon suite, five double rooms and two family units. ​ The lodge is adjacent to a beautiful, family-owned sisal estate. As such, we offer homely accommodation, welcoming you with open arms and smiles from every member of the team. The sanctuary forms part of the farm and reflects the family’s passion and commitment to the conservation of wildlife and the surrounding environment. ​The lodge is situated in the heart of the Tsavo elephant corridor, which links Lake Jipe in Tsavo West with the Galana River in Tsavo East. The Hildana waterholes are seasonal habitats for large numbers of elephant herds and other wildlife species, and are the highlights of any visit to The Hildana Lodge; you can enjoy evening views of elephants quenching their thirst as they pass through the sanctuary.
