Arctic Watch Wilderness Lodge
The Arctic Watch Wilderness Lodge is located on the shores of the Northwest Passage on Somerset Island. It is the world's northernmost fly-in accommodation and the lodge has 16 private guest cabins, each with a toilet and sink. Showers are located in the main complex.
Meals consist of Canadian gourmet dishes served with Okanagan Valley wines. A generator supplies electricity from early morning to 11pm and drinking water is pumped from the Cunningham River into a water tank that provides fresh water 24 hours a day.
There are no permanent human residents on the 25,000-square-kilometre island, but it is home to polar bears, muskox, arctic foxes and is a world-class beluga whale observation site. Experience the beauty of the Arctic in remarkable comfort and hospitality!
