...High school, I lived in Brazil for a year and during the time my father was stationed in Zimbabwe, I did an internship at a lodge just outside Harare. During that time, I travelled through the southern part of Africa with my parents. During my internship, I met my husband, a safari guide, and together we lived and worked in different countries in Southern Africa for almost 20 years. We worked in lodges and tented camps in Botswana, Zambia and Zimbabwe, and also spent a lot of time in Mozambique, Malawi, Kenya and South Africa.
Ten years ago, we co-founded Chengeta Wildlife Foundation. With this foundation, we help national parks in several African countries train rangers, in order to combat poaching and protect Africa's beautiful wildlife.
Southern Africa is truly my second home and fortunately still visits regularly. It continues to inspire! For example, I recently visited Cape Town and Botswana again on a special study tour, and Madagascar is on the planning in the near future - a destination I am incredibly looking forward to.
Africa is pure, powerful and unforgettable. I love sharing my knowledge, experiences and love for this continent with you - so you too can experience the ultimate Africa Feeling!
