Destinations
Millahue Valley
This beautiful and largely untouched valley boasts endless rolling hills, beautiful shimmering mountain lakes with the green, forested Andes mountains as a backdrop. Located two hours south of the capital Santiago, the Millahue Valley is known for its impressive vineyards and fascinating old water mills. The valley produces some of the area's most sought-after wines, as well as some delicious, authentic Chilean food. Apart from wine tasting and enjoying the sumptuous cuisine, the area is also very good for horse riding, trekking and mountain biking.

Santiago
Santiago de Chile is located in a valley surrounded by the rugged mountains of the Andes. It is one of Latin America's most European cities and is one of the few cities in the world from where you can be on both a ski slope and a seaside beach within an hour's drive.
In addition, Santiago de Chile is close to Chile's wine regions, where the world-famous Chilean wines are produced. The city itself has many monuments and beautiful parks. Be sure not to miss the statue of Mary on top of the 'Cerro de San Cristobal'. The view over the city from here is spectacular. Cosy restaurants and bars can be found in the colourful Bellavista and bohemian Lastarria districts, among others.

Central Chile
The region of central Chile includes the capital of Santiago as well as some fantastic remote destinations and amazing natural sights. Pichilemu is one of the continent's first surfing destinations, while Valparaiso, a UNESCO World Heritage Site - with its beautiful hilly surroundings, colourful buildings and historic port areas - is one of Chile's favourite places to visit.
For outdoor and adventure lovers, the region offers some fine ski resorts (such as Valle Nevado and Portillo), incredible hiking trails in the waterfall-rich Radal Siete Tazas National Reserve and some attractive coastal destinations, such as Renaca, Vina del Mar and Cobquecura. Cobquecura also offers easy access to Loberia Island, famous for its impressive flora and fauna, including large numbers of sea lions and seals.

Southern Andes Chile
The Andes is the longest continental mountain range in the world stretching over 7000 km. The southern tip of this majectic mountain range lies south of Llullaillaco in Argentina and Chile and is home to the southern Andean steppe. It is a unique ecoregion defined by its cold desert climate and tough grasslands. Some of the larger mammals that have adapted to this harsh environment are the puma, the Andean fox and two relatives of the llama: the vicuña (Peru's national animal) and the guanaco.
Chile
Pampas
Those who think of Argentina almost certainly think of the Pampa with its gauchos (South American cowboys), horses and empty plains. Just outside bustling Buenos Aires, this part of Argentina begins. Here you will find the typical Argentine gauchos and you can possibly take part in various activities such as horseback riding, carriage rides, cycling or just walking around the beautiful terrain. You will also enjoy typical Argentine meals and the sport Polo in this area.

Buenos Aires
Buenos Aires is easily one of South America's most popular cities, a metropolis with a strong identity of its own and more than 10 million inhabitants. Visitors are treated to an array of attractions. In the 'Microcentro' you will find stately buildings, shopping boulevards and, of course, 'landmarks' such as 'la Casa Rosada' and 'Avenida 9 de Julio' with its towering obelisk. In the old city districts of 'la Boca' and 'San Telmo', you can taste the atmosphere of yesteryear when Italian and Spanish immigrants in search of a better life settled here in the late 19th century. La Boca actually offers travellers only two streets where it is also somewhat touristy, yet you must have seen the coloured houses here. Of course, Buenos Aires is also known as the birthplace of Queen Máxima and Pope Francis.
San Telmo is the district of antique shops and Tango performances. It was in these neighbourhoods where the seductive dance originated. In the upmarket 'Recoleta' district, you will find the spectacular Recoleta cemetery alongside exclusive shops and beautiful buildings. Evita, among others, has her mausoleum here.
Palermo is home to sprawling green parks and gardens. Palermo Soho and Palermo Hollywood have been on the rise in recent years as entertainment areas with excellent restaurants and cosy wine bars. You will also find luxury boutique and designer shops.
Buenos Aires' newest district, Puerto Madero, definitely deserves a visit, its old warehouses now serve as shops and restaurants, and in between the modern buildings, the city architects have left large hoisting cranes and important old buildings of the former port as monuments.

Mendoza
Mendoza is a nice city in one of Argentina's most famous red wine regions. The most famous grape turned into a rich wine here is the Malbec. The city is atmospheric, attractive and addictive, and you will want to set aside more than a day or two to experience the fun of the city and its surroundings.
You can travel to the town of Maipú on your own (can be done by taxi or bus) and then rent a bike and cycle around the bodegas on your own. Almost everywhere you can stop for a tasting. Besides wines, many olive oils are also produced and you can visit several local businesses to see what they produce.

Argentina
Uco Valley
The Uco Valley is the highest area of Mendoza and the place where some of the country's best red wines are produced, including Malbec, Bonarda, Barbera, as well as Merlot and Pinot Noir. Spend your days with a glass of wine in hand, gazing at the breathtaking views over the vineyards and the Andes mountains in the background.
Everything seems to revolve around gourmet food and wines in this region. An ideal place for the epicurean. We recommend visiting several bodegas in the region. There is plenty to see and several wineries are open for an extensive tour of the property followed by a tasting, which of course cannot be missed.

Mendoza Wine Region
In fact, the name Mendoza is almost a synonym for wine. Surrounded by breathtaking Andean scenery, the wine region of Mendoza is known for its vast vineyards, wide range of exceptional wines and spectacular scenery. Other popular activities include: whitewater rafting, mountain climbing, skiing, horse riding and other adventures in the nearby Andes.

Buenos Aires Province
Located in the Pampa lowlands of Argentina, Buenos Aires province, meaning 'good air', is the country's largest province. Although the province bears the same name as the city of Buenos Aires, it does not include it. The current provincial capital is La Plata, a thriving cosmopolitan city. The province offers spectacularly beautiful natural landscapes, including a stunning Atlantic coast, numerous rivers, sparkling lagoons and the Sierra de la Ventana mountain range. Visitors can explore the cities of Mar del Plata, La Costa Partido, Villa Gesell and Miramar. Sample a range of exceptional wines along Argentina's world-famous wine route; and enjoy a trip to a gaucho ranch to experience the life of the gaucho, with traditional music, dancing, delicious food and horse riding. Don't miss the chance to enjoy the world's best Argentine beef in one of the many steakhouses scattered across the province.

Mendoza Province
Mendoza Province is situated in Argentina's Cuyo region and is famous for its wine, ski resorts, and encompassing the largest mountain in the country. The producers here are renowned worldwide, taking advantage of the variety of soils and creating sublime Bonarda, Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, Syrah, and Tempranillo. Cerro Aconcagua, an imposing peak at 7000 metres high, and the surrounding national park offer spectacular hiking and climbing opportunities, and the town is surrounded by striking natural attractions such as mountains, valleys and strange rock formations - natural wonder is aplenty. Active types can look forward to white water rafting, kayaking, and other activities on the lakes and rivers in the area, while superb ski resorts provide a high-end experience. Night owls will delight in the lively clubs and cosmopolitan atmosphere in the city of Mendoza.
Southern Andes Argentina
The Argentine part of the majestic Andes is a playground for visitors interested in breathtaking landscapes, adventure activities, alpine forests, the pampas and the Chaco Desert. Alpine towns like Bariloche offer a wide range of outdoor activities, such as skiing and hiking. Another gem is the village of San Martín de los Andes with its spectacular scenery of Lake Lacár, located right on the edge of Parque Nacional Lanín, where outdoor sports and adventure abound.
