Thawale Lodge

Thawale Lodge is a sustainable lodge that invests 100% of the camp's income in the conservation and protection of Majete. The lodge is located in Majete National park near an illuminated waterhole that attracts a variety of wildlife, you will experience an oasis of tranquillity here. The lodge is unfenced and regularly visited by wildlife. It offers six chalets, all with en-suite bathrooms and each with a private veranda overlooking the waterhole. The more luxurious chalet has a unique open-air bathroom built among the rocks with a shower and sunken bathtub and views of the illuminated waterhole. The chalets are spaced so as to offer visitors privacy and an individual bush experience. In the centre of the camp is a communal lapa and lounge area. Meals are served in the thatched bamboo restaurant and bar with a veranda. Dinner can be combined with an 'under the stars boma night' with entertainment by local Gule wa Mkulu dancers.
